Your registration fee is applied to a variety of expenses that support the player’s ability to play rugby. Some examples of the clubs expenses include, but are not limited to:
The $185 does NOT cover the cost of all of the Club’s expenses. This is why it’s so important to fundraise throughout the season. Fundraising is the responsibility of all players so we can continue to provide the same support to our players and coaches. Our fundraisers include Christmas tree sales, chocolate bar sales, discount cards, monies donated at home games for food sales, selling ads in the annual yearbook, etc.
The T/E School District does provide (post season) a $300 subsidy for each high school player. This does not apply to non-high school players. This subsidy is only provided if the player is properly registered with the Conestoga athletic office. This is why it’s so important for high school participants to ensure they have submitted the appropriate paperwork.
In 2017 the High School Boys will be going to Wales over spring break to play rugby! This trip is NOT funded by your $185 club registration. The boys start with a $0 balance and fundraise in an effort to support their trip. Currently they are selling Christmas trees, raking leaves, will shovel snow, etc. They will also have their own yearbook and sell ads and approach businesses to sponsor their team uniforms. These monies are all managed separately from the club income and expenses.
Thank you for your continued support of Conestoga Rugby!! Any questions regarding the income or expenses of the club, please contact Jeanne Carter.
