What does Conestoga Rugby do with your $185 payment?

Your registration fee is applied to a variety of expenses that support the player’s ability to play rugby.  Some examples of the clubs expenses include, but are not limited to:

  • CIPP fee from Rugby PA.  CIPP = Club and Individual Participation Program.  This “CIPP” registration is required for all Rugby players in order to participate in the sport.  Conestoga Rugby will register each player with Rugby PA after payment has been received.
  • Field usage fees.
  • Trainer participation at each home game.
  • Referee fees at each home game.
  • Transportation to away games.
  • Coaches salaries.
  • Website and Internet expenses.
  • Equipment – line paint, ropes for the game, food tent, etc.
  • Team uniforms.

The $185 does NOT cover the cost of all of the Club’s expenses.  This is why it’s so important to fundraise throughout the season.  Fundraising is the responsibility of all players so we can continue to provide the same support to our players and coaches.   Our fundraisers include Christmas tree sales, discount cards, monies donated at home games for food sales, selling ads in the annual yearbook, etc.

The T/E School District does provide (post season) a $300 subsidy for each high school player.  This does not apply to non-high school players.  This subsidy is only provided if the player is properly registered with the Conestoga athletic office.  This is why it’s so important for high school participants to ensure they have submitted the appropriate paperwork.

Thank you for your continued support of Conestoga Rugby!!
